Emily began practicing yoga about 12 years ago. At the time she was hooked on Spin classes & body pump classes at Gold’s gym. One evening Emily’s spin teacher invited her to try her yoga class.. and that’s where the seed was planted.
Emily loved the spiritual and mental aspects of yoga and wanted to know more. Shortly after and by chance.. Emily met a yoga teacher from Inner Strength who invited her to a class in Watertown. It happened to be the first night of the fall teacher training, Roman was leading the class. The studio was filled with yogis and tons of energy! Emily still remembers this first hot yoga class to this day… the amazing vibration feeling when the whole room chanted “AAUUMMMM”, the physical challenge, the spiritual, the mental, and the emotional. The feeling of complete bliss in the moment and after the class.
Emily was hooked on hot yoga since the first class… and started practicing at inner strength 4-5 times a week while attending school at Framingham State University and working as a hairstylist.
Everyone who knew Emily during this time would tell you how much she loved YOGA. In her Fashion Merchandising major, she wrote her buying plan based on a Yoga apparel store and studio. Juggling full-time school, work, and a full-time yoga practice was no easy task but she believes the yoga carried her through and kept her balanced. Emily graduated from Framingham State University in 2014, with honors (cum laude) and the leadership award from her professors. Emily’s professors believed that one day she would open her own business.
Since graduating from University, Emily has worked 9-5’s in corporate offices and is currently working in Real Estate. Emily was moved to enroll in yoga teacher training after the passing of a childhood friend, Stephanie in 2021. In the Fall of 2023, Emily completed RYT 200 Teacher training with Roman at Gratitude Hot Yoga Falmouth.
Teacher training was extremely powerful and transformational to Emily and it is where she awakened to her purpose of opening a Gratitude Hot Yoga Center in the MetroWest area. She realized during teacher training that there are so many others missing their yoga practice that Inner Strength and Gratitude provided, and she wanted to bring it back to the community.
Emily is a lifelong Natick resident where she currently resides with her family. Emily has a 6 year old daughter, Giulia. When she is not practicing yoga she enjoys being outdoors, hiking, and family vacations to Vermont.
