At Gratitude Hot Yoga Centers, heat is at the core of each class.
Heat allows the body to open and to improve the circulation of blood and oxygen as well as reducing stress on all of the systems.
The warm, nurturing tone of the room allows your joints to bend and move through a greater range of motion with less agitation. All classes will lengthen, strengthen, and cleanse the physical body. Each class will empty the 'cup of the mind' leaving a sense of mental clarity and an uplifting sense of accomplishment emotionally.
Flow:
- Heated into the high 90-degree range.
- Open to all levels of students, however, raw beginners with little to no physical fitness experience are recommended to advise the teacher before class. If you have any questions please email hotyogasudbury@gmail.com
- Through wise sequencing and flowing movements, holding, and the refinement of postures, explore your physical, emotional, and mental capabilities.
- Cultivates focus, curiosity, and compassion whilst transforming struggles into a source of self-knowledge.
- Class may include music as part of the class experience and may include hands-on assistance or adjustments to consenting students.
Slow flow:
- Heated into the high 80 to low 90-degree range.
- Slow does not mean easy. The slow-moving pace and the longer holds will certainly allow the newer students the space to familiarize themselves with the practice and may be the right class if you're a raw beginner, however, slow flow classes are also desired by seasoned practitioners because of the very same reasons.
Yin:
- Suitable for all levels
- Receive guidance on how to relax, find stillness, quiet the mind, and focus on the breath.
- Props, such as bolsters, blocks, and straps are utilized.
- The room will be comfortably warmed to the low 80 degree range.
- Class may include music as part of the class experience and may include hands-on assistance or adjustments to consenting students.
Hot26:
- Every HOT26 class is a sequence of the same 26 asanas (poses/postures) and 2 breathing exercises selected from Hatha Yoga. It has been proven and experienced by millions worldwide that these 26 postures systematically work every part of the body. This yoga builds energy, stamina, and flexibility. It incorporates strength, challenge, gravity, balance, and the tourniquet effect. The human body is self-regulating and self-adjusting, and the Original Hot Yoga helps return the body to its natural balanced state, both physically and mentally.
- The yoga room is intentionally hot (105°F) and humid to promote cellular metabolism, detoxification, and suppleness of the muscular system. It is a very safe practice. The series works equally well for beginning and very advanced students. You will always be encouraged to challenge yourself to improve and maintain your health — physically and mentally. This practice is a healing, therapeutic open-eyed moving meditation!
